Errands run – dry cleaning picked up (just realized that it’s still in the car), the dogs’ prescriptions picked up, purchased more socks for Derek, and finished laundry.

I’m officially in pre-trip mode…we leave Friday.  A thousand things are running through my head…things to do now, do later, remember to tell someone, remember to pack…yikes!  Today is picking up dry cleaning, getting a haircut, shopping for toiletries…at least that’s what’s on today’s list!

We’ve had almost 9 inches of rain in the last 5 days.  Everyone in Transylvania County has raindrops falling on their head…

I want to ride the rails and watch the patchwork landscape of our world go by, hear the lonesome whistle, pass through vast open spaces, and tightly packed cities.  This is in my future…
